ver 2.6.5
------------------
A functional bug when the MSV-rpm button was used was corrected; Excel's country regional setting could cause the program
to stop working.
ver 2.6.4
------------------
A reference curve in the chart for elastic crank strain influence on
squish velocity (squish gap) was added for strain=0 as a comparison.
ver 2.6.3
------------------
'Export Coordinates' button was added in the 'Option' window. The output
file can be chosen as a text- or Excel file.
ver 2.6.2
------------------
A "Flat Plate Volume" measure was added in the page 'Design_Table', that
can be activated from the 'About...' page's check button 'Show
Design_Table Page". This parameter makes it possible to measure the
stand alone head volume at manufacturing. Read about this feature in the manual,
page 11.
ver 2.6.1
------------------
- The analysis of the strain dependence to Maximum Squish Velocity has
been improved further. The MSV can now be plotted against the rpm,
easily viewed in a chart. The charts maximum rpm is stretched to 25%
over the target rpm to show the influence of over-rev. If the strain
becomes larger than the squish gap at higher rpm then the MSV-rpm button
becomes red which indicates that the piston has a clash against the head
for the last value in the chart. There is no recommendations for strain
values yet, but the stock squish gap of an engine might indicate the
safe distance to start from. The strain effect is very important when
designing or modifying the squish gap.
- The print function (in the options form) now exports a gif-file to a
folder you choose instead sending of it to a printer.
-Some discovered minor bugs were corrected and calculation speed has been improved.
ver 2.5.1
------------------
This version runs also with Excel 2016, but significant slower than
on earlier excel versions. Some minor improvements and functionality
bugs were corrected.
Disclaimer: Print preview in Excel 2016 does not work properly. It relates
to an Excel bug that can not be corrected by the Bimotion program.
ver 2.5.0
------------------
An option was added for a head/cylinder split line reference in
comparison with the current reference at Top Dead Center, which makes
manufacturing easier. The function is found in Options;Split Line.
Any gasket is included in the distance. The split line dialogue window
can not be printed easily so the keyboard's 'Print Screen' is
recommended to capture the screen as a picture and then paste it into a
picture viewer, e.g. MS Paint.
Some minor functional corrections were also done.
ver 2.4.3
------------------
Small correction: "coord C2 X-Loc" in cell K12 changed to "Coord C1
X-Loc" in 2-Stage design mode.
ver 2.4.2
------------------
X-axis check button added in "Head Design" for automatic adjustment of
x-axis. Some minor improvements added.
ver 2.4.1
------------------
Only language translation related updates. English language is
unaffected.
ver 2.4.0
------------------
The output cell 'Piston Radius' was removed in favor to 'Exhaust Port
Height' (mm input). An option button was added to switch between input
in mm or in crank degrees After Bottom Dead Center.
NOTE!! Some
cells changed position due to this change which means that exported .dat
from previous versions can not be imported into this version !!
ver 2.3.5
------------------
Excel does not export the plot print out correct in terms of
length/height ratio. A correct ratio as seen on the screen is not
exported to printer. The fix is to measure the print out ratio and use
the 'Change chart length/height ratio' option for correction.
Ver 2.3.4
------------------
Bug fix for Excel 2010.
Ver 2.3.3
------------------
A fix was made with the translation file and import routine.
The change does only apply to language import.
Ver 2.3.2
------------------
A stabilization fix was done to a circumstance that could
misalign the geometry.
Ver 2.3.1
------------------
The Strain function is introduced.
Fillet center coordinate added.
Full language support by language file import.
Support for 64 bit OS.
Several other improvements done.
Ver 2.2.1
------------------
Some bugs to the user interface were corrected.
'Saved' popup confirmation added.
Checkboxes added to 'Axis Range' to hide/unhide axis labels.
Ver 2.1.3
------------------
A button added for Screen selection. The Screen button must be
turned off to access other desktop windows.
Ver 2.1.2
------------------
New compilation with full screen view. The sheet tabs were
removed, now accessed from buttons instead. Other buttons as
Print, etc were grouped under Options button. Save and Exit
buttons added on the sheet.
Ver 2.1.1
------------------
Small functional bug was corrected.
The "Squish % of Bore" cell didn't update correctly.
Ver 2.1.0
------------------
New features:
- Fillet radius between squish band and bowl.
- Exhaust pipe charge pressure giving compression pressure plot.
- Spin buttons for interactive parameter changes.
- Combustion area output.
- New plot sheet with window zoom, chart zoom, plot thickness
options, and gridline choice.
- Print buttons added.
- Gradual soft plot view.
The error handling has been improved with curve align warnings in the
cells.
Ver 1.3.3
------------------
A functional bug was discovered in 1.3.2 (only).
At some circumstance the program can unlock and be accidental
destroyed by the user.
Ver 1.3.2
------------------
- Checkbox added for squish band angle input by user.
- Dimensioning recommendations added.
Ver 1.3.1
------------------
- Spark plug diameter parameter added with NGK and Champion plugs dia
recommendations.
- Option button added: Enter either squish band dia or squish area %
of bore.
- Squish gap as % of stroke cell added.
- Coordinate locations picture updates with head type.
Ver 1.2.8
------------------
Window zoom bar added. Small bug fixed.
Ver 1.2.7
------------------
A cell was dedicated in the header for engine project name. The cell is
activated for editing after pressing a button. BowlData-cells now always
keeps the entered values when 'Stages' are changed. (More logic)
Ver.1.2.6
------------------
A bug, the squish band angle was not correct calculated.
Ver.1.2.5
------------------
The text in the Bowl Data cells are changed dependent on the chosen
configuration. The Bowl definitions becomes more clear. The squish band
angle was added and the adiabatic temperature increase was removed.
